Privacy Policy
Last reviewed 2026-08-06. The short version: this is a static information site with a free practice demo that runs entirely in your browser. We do not ask you to register, we do not take payments, and we do not build a profile of you.
What We Collect
Nothing you have to give us. There is no sign-up form for the site itself, no newsletter, no comment system and no contact form that stores submissions. If you email us, we hold that email in order to reply to it, and nothing more. We carry no advertising and no operator referral links, which is why there is nothing here to monetise — see how this site is funded.
Our hosting provider processes ordinary server request information — the requested address, a timestamp, a truncated network address, browser type and referring page — to serve pages and to protect the site from abuse. That is a normal part of how the web works and is not used by us to identify individual readers.
| Data | Where it lives | Who can see it | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Practice demo username and passcode | Your own browser only | Only you, on that device | Until you delete it |
| Practice play balance | Your own browser only | Only you, on that device | Until you delete it |
| Light or dark theme preference | Your own browser only | Only you, on that device | Until you clear site data |
| Standard server request logs | Our hosting provider | Our provider, for security and reliability | A short retention window |
| An email you choose to send us | Our mailbox | The editorial team | Until the matter is closed |
The Practice Demo Account
The free Wingo practice demo asks for a username and a passcode. Both are written to your browser's local storage on your own device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is no server behind them, because this whole site is a set of static files.
Two consequences follow, and you should know both. First, your practice account is genuinely private — nobody, including us, can read it. Second, it offers no real security: anyone with access to your unlocked device could open the same browser and see the same practice balance. Since nothing of value is stored there, that is an acceptable trade, but do not reuse a password you care about as your demo passcode.
Clearing your browsing data, using private browsing, or switching device will remove the practice account entirely. There is a delete button beneath the demo that does the same thing immediately.
Cookies and Local Storage
We set no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking pixels. The only data this site writes to your device is the practice demo account described above and your light or dark theme choice, both stored in local storage rather than in cookies.
Because we do not use tracking cookies, there is no consent banner. That is not an oversight — there is simply nothing to consent to.
Hosting and Third Parties
The site is served as static files from a content delivery network, which processes the standard request information described above in order to deliver pages and to mitigate attacks. We do not embed third-party advertising, social media widgets, chat tools or session-recording scripts.
Some pages link out to external references such as encyclopaedia entries, payment-regulator pages and gambling support organisations. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we have no control over them. External links on this site carry standard security attributes and open in a new tab, but following one takes you outside our control.
Your Control Over Your Data
Because almost nothing is collected, most data rights resolve very simply. You can erase every piece of data this site has ever placed on your device yourself, in seconds, without asking us: delete the practice account with the button under the demo, or clear site data in your browser settings.
If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it. We have no other record of you to correct, export or erase.
Age Restriction
This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It covers gambling-adjacent games, and although the demo uses play money only, the subject matter is not appropriate for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, and we have no mechanism that could collect information from a child. Parents concerned about gambling apps on a shared device will find practical steps on our responsible gaming page.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes we will update the review date at the top. Since the site collects almost nothing, material changes are unlikely; if we ever introduced analytics or any other form of measurement, we would say so here plainly before doing it.
Privacy Questions
Do you track me across the web?
No. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels and no social media widgets on this site. We do not know who you are and have no way of recognising you on another site.
Can you see my practice demo account?
No. The username, passcode and play balance are written to your own browser and never leave your device. This site is entirely static, so there is no server that could receive them.
How do I delete everything this site has stored?
Use the delete button beneath the demo to remove the practice account, or clear site data for this domain in your browser settings. That removes the account, the play balance and the theme preference together.
Do you sell or share any data?
No. We have no reader data to sell, no advertising relationships and no data-sharing arrangements. The only personal information we ever hold is an email you choose to send us, kept solely to reply to it.
